Hello Hal, I have enjoyed your blog about the history of banjo clubs. There are still a few in the UK. I used to play in the Aston Banjo Club in the 1990's and was very sad when it closed in 1998, it was formed in 1896 by Harry Marsh. The age of members was 18-80s. We had a Windsor double contra bass from Sally and John Murrell played by Arthur Churchill, I played banjolin. Much of our music was for brass bands or arranged by professional jazz player David Price our conductor. I would like my banjo students to play some simple orchestra music, but lack the skills to arrange this. I wish that you or others would publish some of this music, or give tips on doing it. I have your CD A Banjo Oddity and look forward to others. Many thanks, Dorothy
